Protecting Anti-Pollution Matrix SPF 10
Defend your skin
Pollutants and other air-borne particulate matter originate from a number of sources, which include both anthropogenic, e.g. combustion fuel and industry emissions, and/or natural origin, e.g. dust or sand storms. Pollution is associated with skin damage, which can lead to premature aging, dry skin, etc. Recent research also shows it can also negatively impact the skin microbiome, which plays a role in skin health. Due to the multifactorial nature of pollution and its effects, there is no "one size fits all” method to assess anti-pollution properties. With the rationale of avoiding adhesion of the particles as being one of the first lines of defense, formulations were developed to reduce the adhesion and increase the removability of a (model) pollutants.
The gentle Anti-Pollution Matrix is based on the natural cream base Emulgade® PL 68/50 which can form biomimetic lamellar structures, and the polymer Tinovis® GTC UP which forms protective anti-adhesive films against pollutants (PM) and improves the removability of particles. Active ingredients, such as antioxidants and chelating agents, protect the skin against the oxidative stress. PatcH2O®, a molecular patch based on film-forming natural biopolymers, delivers intense moisturization while protecting keratinocytes and the skin microbiota against particulate pollution.
